Hi,

I have a ceiling circle fluorescent light that is failing to work a few days ago. Appreciate if someone can advise me.

The light is attached to a ballast and has a lamp starter.

1. I have replaced the light bulb and starter to new ones and it did not work.

2. I have checked the best I could that the wirings are not loose.

3. When I switch the light on, it only gave out very dim light.

4. The same happened when I removed the starter. I even joined the wires manually from the ballast and starter to the light bulb(just in case the part which connects these wires are faulty) and it still gave out a very dim light.

The light is very dim, can barely see. But it's not flickering.

Unfortunately, I do not have tools to test current flow.

Please help. Thank you very much.

Hello,
This forum is reserved for appliance repair. It sounds like you have a bad electrical connection, possibly even a ground wire issue but we do not offer advice on this type of repair. You can try JustAnswer.com.. I know they charge a small fee but it might help you get this taken care of.
