Hello. I have Model MVWC200XW0. I am 2nd owner and have had for about 8 years. Lid lock flashing error after running cycle. After error the fault code reads F1 E2, which I believe is motor control fault.

I run test #3b per manual and the motor agitates without issue.

I can run auto test mode without codes. I have done a successful calibration. I can clear error by unplugging and I do not get an error and can run a wash cycle with no issue. The error usually occurs within 2 hours of a completed cycle. I can run cycles back to back without errors.

I cleaned the lid sticker\switch and it didnt fault for about 18 hours. I decided to replace lid switch to see if that would clear fault but the error continues.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello,
It sounds like a faulty or failing motor.. these things are hard to diagnose without a tech being on site running their diagnostics but this seems to be more common on your model.. this is the motor for your washer https://www.appliancezone.com/w10006416-whirlpool-washer-drive-motor/?ctk=4ae98b0c-e081-4cb2-affa-db28094d4c48
