I need to reroute the drain for my washer. It is a Kenmore front loader. I have some existing plumbing that I can tap into, but it is in the ceiling. How bad would it be to have my washer drain up? It is a normal basement ceiling of about 7 feet or so. It would then be pitched down towards the grey water outlet. Will the washers drain pump handle that? Or do I need to use a separate pump?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

That will most likely cause the pump to burn up or even cause other issues. It is suppose to not be any higher than the top of the washer and as short of a run as possible
