My whirlpool dryer (model WED4815EW1) recently stopped heating. Using a voltage meter I came to the conclusion that the thermal cutoff (part #279816) towards the top of the dryer was the issue. Since then I've replaced it twice and both times my dryer would start working immediately. However after 3 or 4 loads of laundry it would once again stop heating due to the thermal cutoff blowing out again. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

This issue normally happens because the heating element is getting too hot. A lot of times, poor dryer exhaust can cause this issue. Kinked or plugged dryer vent from the back of the dryer all the way outside is normally one of the main reasons this happens.
If you know that is all good you might look into the temperature switch on the console.. Does adjusting the temp switch actually work or does it just go to high heat causing the element to get too hot and blowing the safety thermostat. These are the only possible causes I can think of aside from some sort of voltage irregularity.
