I have a Whirlpool WRS322FDAW side-by-side refrigerator, andI just noticed this morning that the ice tray was nearly empty.

The filter has needed replacing for the last week or so but I'd put it off. So today I replaced it and reset the indicator using the switch in the freezer. This didn't effect anything--no activity in the ice maker. Not seeing any other way to reset things, I unplugged the fridge for 30 secs and plugged it back in. No change.

Freezer temp is 8 degrees.

I removed the ice bin; there is no ice in the tray. I'm not sure how to check if the water line in is clogged. The tray arm is pointing down, so assuming it's not defective it should be activating the ice maker.
So my questions now are:
-- does it just need more time to begin working again?
-- did not changing the filter for a week or so clog or otherwise damage the ice maker?
-- was the filter change simply a coincidence and has nothing to do with the ice maker's problem?

Hello,
I do not see the filter being part of the icemaker circuit.. meaning the water to the icemaker does not appear to be filtered. Also, with your model it is not showing a complete icemaker unit so I am not sure which icemaker you have. With your freezer being at 8 degrees the icemaker should cycle every 30-45 min .. not sure if yours has a on/off or reset button on it.. again, i am not seeing a complete icemaker for yours so i dont know if this was an add on kit or not.
You can try unplugging the refrig for 5 min then plug back in, hopefully that fully resets it if there are no switches or buttons on the icemaker.. if it is not cycling then likely you have a bad icemaker.. if it is but no water coming in then you need to check the inlet valve in the back and see what is going on with it.
