Hi. I have a Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF30HBEDBSR/AA that I bought at the end of 2014. The freezer on my fridge stopped working. It seemed like the fridge part was still working but if it was working for a day or so, it has stopped working too. I pulled the overload and start relay off of the side of the compressor and the overload rattled when I shook it. I bought a Supco 3n1 to replace the overload/start relay. I hooked the 3 wires with connectors on the Supco up to the 3 connections on the side of the compressor. There were 2 wires left to hook up on the Supco. There were 2 wires attached to the overload. I checked these 2 wires on the overload with a meter. One had voltage on it and the other didn't. I hooked these 2 wires to the Supco using the provided wire nuts and plugged in the fridge. I thought that the compressor would come on but as far as I could tell, it did not. I also took the cover off of the inside back of the freezer to check the fan and to see if there was ice built up. No ice built up. The fan had 3 wires coming off of it. When I checked them for continuity, when I hooked up to 2 specific wires, I had continuity. When I would take my meter off of 1 of those wires and attach it to the 3rd wire, the meter went about half way as far as it went previously.  IDK what that indicates. I don't know if I have the Supco hooked up correctly or if there's another problem. I would greatly appreciate any help I could get.

Hello,
There are numerous topics within this forum touching on this issue and for your brand.. just search ... compressor... and I am sure you will see previous posts covering this topic.
As far as the Supco 3 N 1 there should be instructions with it, you might want to go back to the place you purchased it from and see if they can assist.. there are several versions of the 3N1 so you might not even have the right one.
