So I have a fridge, it's not mine personally, it belonged to my father.
It's a 2014 GE fridge, I called the GE they were nice but not really helpful.
Basically there are several areas w/in the fridge (like where the food goes) where there are rust spots.
Ive gotten most of the rust off.  There are few stubborn and areas and areas I cant reach well because of the shelving holders.
Anyway, I am having trouble finding some sort of food safe product that will at least protect those areas so the rust doesnt come back, and if it somewhat matched the inside so it wasnt super obvious that would be great.
I know that silicone could help, but was hoping for something else.

I do NOT KNOW why there is rust,  could be the gaskets.  Im not asking about that, or figuring out how to fix that particular issue at this time, just the rust issue for now.  I just want to know if there is some sort of food safe enamel or something that is waterproof that wont look horrible.
It needs to be reasonably priced as well.

Im guessing Im out of luck but figured it wouldnt hurt to ask.

Thank you!

I am not 100% sure on the food safe part because i think any kind of spray paint is not going to be what you would call "food safe" because of the chemicals needed to make actual spray paint.. but maybe something like this which is intended for appliances https://www.walmart.com/ip/Spray-Paint-White-12-oz-RUST-OLEUM-7881830/17011222?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=922&adid=22222222227008856731&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=66809315192&wl4=pla-130761529232&wl5=9016441&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=17011222&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI89jOo8CQ5AIVTCaGCh2zOwipEAkYCSABEgIVsPD_BwE

Yeah I contacted Rust-Oleum and they said NONE of their sprays were food safe.
It wouldnt have to be a spray, it could be any type application.  I would prefer to kinda blend in but beggars cant be choosers.  Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!
