I have a Panasonic NN-872 Combi Microwave, It's just started to cut out after the first few seconds (2 - 15) of cooking. I've popped the cover and checked the door switches and a few other obvious bits. When it is running there is an arcing sound from inside the magnetron that leads me to suspect that is faulty.

However the bit that has given me pause for thought is that when I run the oven in grill or convection oven only mode it still seems to cut out after the first few seconds (albeit a bit longer than when microwaving), is it possible that I've got multiple faults on my unit?

I'd considered if it was some sort of thermal cut out, however I'd not have expected the grill / oven to heat fast enough to cause this to trip.

If it's a power supply issue then I guess we've got to the BER point?

Magnetron £50
Inverter PCB £110

TIA

Mike

Hello,

This model# is not coming up in any of my model lookup systems. Is this a Non-US appliance?

It barely features in Google searches, I've had to do a fair bit of digging to find any references to it.
