I replaced the igniter in my oven, probably didn't need to. I turn the oven on and it appears to be preheating, then next thing I know I hear a little explosion and then notice the gas smell. So appears to be igniting again after oven fills with gas. I have a GE slide in- JGSP28BEK4BB

I would have a certified tech come look at this. This  type of issue cannot really be diagnosed in a forum, it needs to be addressed by a tech because of the possibility of some serious damage possibly happening

Seems like the only other thing it could be is the control panel, telling it when to ignite
