I bought a second hand fridge about 9 years ago and every thing was fine but I have noticed in past month or so that the motor switches on for about 10 minutes and then switches off for about 20 minutes and then on and off every 10 and 20 minutes this cannot be right as it used to switch on and off only once every couple of hours in the past

I have checked the door seals and they are ok . is the fridge coming to the end of it's working life

I am sounding a bit vague here

It is a Grey Daewoo model with a serial no 1e3x681185
On the motor it says '' Tropicalised termally protected and a No DS25LHS8
that is the only information about the model that I can find

Ok this would be a non-US appliance in which I would have no technical information on and not be able to offer you any technical assistance.. I can offer that this sounds like a typical thermostat issue since the thermostat or "cold control" is what determines the temperature by the setting you have it on
