My over the range microwave that is less than 4 yrs old is not working. The unit has power but when i close the door and press start, i hear a click and the light flashes inside and stops. Not sure how to troubleshoot but seems to be a simple problem (crossing fingers)

If you have the owners manual you should be able to locate a simple fuse such as this one https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Line-Fuse/W10138793/1450877
This issue can be several things, if its a simple issue then this fuse would be it.. all other options are going to be a bit more expensive.. there is a start capacitor that is common to fail which would also act similiar to the issue you are describing which you could find here https://www.appliancezone.com/w10850446-whirlpool-microwave-hv-capacitor/

Thank you. Good news! after leaving it unplugged overnight and powering back on this morning, the unit started running.
