I have a LG model LMXS30776D/01 GR-J31GHSJM.ASBCNA1 refrigerator.  Both the ice dispenser and water dispenser stopped working.  The ice maker does make ice.  When the ice dispenser is pressed, the small door to let the ice out opens, the small light comes on, then nothing happens and no sound.  When the water dispenser is pressed, the small ight comes on, then nothing happens and no sound.  I verified the refrigerator is not in locked mode.  I know the door switches are not the issue because when I try the ice dispenser with one of the doors open, the small door to let the ice out does not open.  I replaced the PWB(PCB) assembly circuit board located on top of the refrigerator door with the ice maker in it and that did not resolve the issue.  I checked for loose connections in the top left door hinge, found none.  I replaced the control board (EBR72955422) in the door next to the ice maker/water dispenser.  This did not solve the issue.  I replaced the main control board (EBR78643414) in the back of the refrigerator.  This did not solve the issue.  Any thoughts as what to try next?  What contacts in the circuit system need to be made in order for the ice auger to run or for the secondary water dispensing valve to open?  Thank you.

On these parts you replaced.. did you buy them new from a reputable merchant? I ask because some people go to ebay and buy cheap parts only to get something used or previously installed.. when I was a tech I always inspected electrical parts before installing because so many internet companies will be ok with their customers installing a part and returning it a year later... I know Repair Clinic even advertises that but I dont know if they put those parts back on their shelves or if they throw them away.

Purchased all parts directly through LG's website Encompass.  They should be good parts.

honestly i do not know on this one... It seems you changed everything that could cause this issue .. this is why I asked where the parts came from, it just doesn't make sense to still have this issue after everything you replaced.

Finally figured out the issue.  Turns out a wire running from the door hinge to a relay board in the door lost continuity.  It was the pink wire that supplies power to the ice dispenser and water dispenser.  I jumpered a wire bypassing the bad wire and the both starting working.  How does a wire break in the refrigerator door?  Sheesh.

Wow that is weird... I have no idea how a wire would break without anything rubbing against it.
Good job finding out this issue though, it would of likely stumped most repair people.
