I need to replace the coupler on our Kitchenaid model KSB5 blender....too many margaritas blended.  I am thinking of puting something into the bottom of the blender to hold the fan blade while trying to unscrew the old couple..  I am just wondering if there is a better way....Thanks for any ideas....Allen

I've attached a PDF file with instructions on how to replace the coupler on the base of the blender. It was labeled as coming from Kitchenaid.

If you are needing to replace the coupler in the bottom of the jar, you will need to unscrew the ring at the base of the jar to remove the blade assembly.
